Moroccan Police Debunk Viral Video of Alleged Kidnapping in Salé

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) categorically denied the information circulated on Wednesday about a video sequence showing the kidnapping of a woman in a parking lot of her own vehicle.
In a clarification, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) states that this video was not recorded in Morocco, let alone in front of one of the supermarkets in the city of Salé. The research and technical expertise carried out by the services of the cell for monitoring and fighting fake news reveal that it is rather a sequence filmed abroad in May and commented on over time by several press articles from Latin American countries.
Furthermore, the DGSN warns that its competent technical services are continuing the necessary research and investigations to identify the alleged suspects involved in the dissemination via social networks and instant messaging applications of false data relating to this sequence, presenting it as a criminal act committed in Morocco.
