Moroccan Police Bust University Diploma Forgery Ring in Rabat, 11 Arrested

The main suspect is a fund manager at a private university in Rabat. He used his position to forge diplomas and academic certificates in various specialties, in exchange for money he received and with whom he communicated via social networks or through some of the defendants, indicates a statement from the DGSN on Tuesday.

After numerous complaints, the security services conducted investigations that allowed them to identify the main suspect and arrest him in flagrante delicto of issuing false diplomas. The other defendants were arrested in Rabat and Casablanca, adds the DGSN.

During the searches carried out at the homes of the accused, the security services seized diplomas, grade reports and false seals, in addition to two cars, a laptop, two digital data storage media, mobile phones and a sum of money that would come from this criminal activity.

Pending the completion of the investigation opened to determine all the ramifications of this criminal gang, the suspects have been placed in custody, concludes the statement.
