Moroccan Police Bust Fake Diploma Ring Operating Online in Tangier

A criminal network specialized in the forgery of diplomas and school certificates has been dismantled by the police.
It was in flagrante delicto that two individuals, involved in a case of selling fake diplomas on the internet, were arrested in Tangier, reports Al Akhbar, specifying that at the time of the operation the two suspects used false identities.
According to the DGSN press release, it was the information collected on the web exposing the sale of fake diplomas and school certificates that allowed the police to trace back to the source of this traffic and identify these two suspects, then to proceed with their arrest.
During the searches at the home of one of the defendants, tools and stamps used for the forgery operations were seized, in addition to a sum of money that would be the proceeds of this traffic.
The accused were taken into custody, at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, pending the identification of all the people involved in this case.
