Diploma Forgery Ring at Moroccan University Results in Harsh Sentences for 26

26 people prosecuted for forgery of diplomas from the International University of Rabat were sentenced to heavy sentences by the criminal chamber of the Casablanca Court of Appeal.
The main defendant, an employee of the University, was sentenced to 8 years in prison by the court. The two mediators between the main defendant and those who obtained fake diplomas in exchange for money were each sentenced to 5 years in prison.
The criminal chamber also sentenced a third defendant to seven years in prison. The remaining defendants received prison sentences ranging from 8 months to two years. The 26 accused were part of a network that was active in forging university diplomas.
