Moroccan Police Arrest Two Suspects in Car Theft and Drug Trafficking Ring
Two suspects, one of whom is the subject of four wanted notices in Morocco for drug trafficking and theft, were arrested by the judicial police elements of the Berrechid district on Friday, August 30. They are accused of their alleged involvement in a criminal network specializing in car theft and drug trafficking, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
It all started with the suspicions weighing on the two individuals in a case of theft of two vehicles. These outlaws, having stolen these cars on August 23 and 28, entrusted them to a receiver also wanted for drug and drug trafficking cases, in the vicinity of Nouaceur, the same statement notes.
Thanks to the search operations carried out in the context of this case in Casablanca, one of the stolen vehicles was found, containing the weapons of the crime, as well as the towing and license plate attachment equipment, not to mention the mechanical tools, continues the DGSN.
The same source also specifies that nearly 200 grams of cannabis, 77 ecstasy pills and a bladed weapon were discovered and confiscated during the arrest of the two suspects.
Once arrested, the accused were placed in custody for the purposes of the investigation in order to elucidate the ins and outs of this case and to arrest the other individuals involved in these criminal acts.
