Moroccan Pharmaceutical Pioneer Omar Tazi Dies at 73

The pharmaceutical sector is in mourning. Omar Tazi, one of the pioneers of the Moroccan pharmaceutical industry, died on Friday, March 20, 2020, after a long illness.
The founder of the Sothema group has passed away. During his lifetime, this industry captain was able to establish himself as one of the leaders of the pharmaceutical industry in Morocco. He is considered by all his collaborators as a spiritual father.
During a Board of Directors meeting on December 4 last, he had resigned from his position as CEO of the company, and was replaced by Lamia Tazi.
