Morocco’s Private Clinics Join Coronavirus Fight, Offer Care for COVID-19 Patients

The National Order of Physicians of Morocco has moved from words to action. It has announced the availability of private clinics for the care of patients tested positive for coronavirus.
The National Order of Physicians of Morocco indicated that the regional council of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra held a meeting with the directors of the clinics, in the presence of the president of the Regional Council of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra. A meeting that focused on the involvement of the private sector in the field of care and the fight against coronavirus.
A second meeting with the representatives of the Rabat clinics, retained the commitment of the private sector and the clinics in order to discuss the involvement of the private sector in the care and fight against the spread of the virus. The private sector, through doctors and clinics, is making itself available to the Ministry of Health to contribute, said the National Order of Physicians of Morocco.
Dr. Hassan Afilal and Dr. Karim Tazi, respectively president and vice-president, concluded by making four clinics available to the State. These are the Clinique du Regard et de la Silhouette, the Clinique Internationale de Rabat, the Clinique Souissi of Dr. Karim Tazi and the Center for Neonatal and Pediatric Resuscitation of Dr. Hassan Afilal.
The order has committed to equipping the structures made available to the Ministry of Health and to provide premises if necessary. To determine the needs and ensure better reception of patients, a committee has been set up. In addition, the availability of private sector physicians to assist public and military physicians in welcoming and caring for suspected or positive COVID-19 cases. In short, the fight against COVID-19 must be everyone’s business.
