According to the latest ranking of the Guide Passport Ranking index published by the international magazine CEOWORLD, the Moroccan passport ranks 67th globally and allows Moroccans to travel without a prior visa or with a visa on arrival to 72 destinations worldwide. Compared to other more powerful passports globally, this is a performance that reflects a medium to low level of mobility.
Holders of the Moroccan passport can travel without a visa to Middle Eastern countries such as Jordan, Lebanon, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, African countries such as Tunisia, Senegal, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Rwanda and Zambia, Latin American countries such as Brazil and Colombia, as well as Asian countries such as Turkey and Armenia, Thailand and Malaysia. Other countries accessible without a visa for Moroccans: Maldives, Micronesia, Cook Islands, Dominica, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The negotiation of additional bilateral agreements, the facilitation of consular procedures, and the strengthening of economic and security diplomacy are the levers on which Morocco can act to improve the position of its passport in the ranking.
