Here is the new ranking of the Moroccan passport
The Moroccan passport continues to progress in the latest global ranking established by the Henley & Partners firm. The Kingdom now occupies the 65th place worldwide, gaining two ranks compared to the previous edition. This positioning allows Moroccan nationals to access 72 destinations without the need for a prior visa, upon arrival or via an electronic travel authorization.
This evolution places Morocco on an equal footing with the Dominican Republic and Eswatini. It reflects a gradual improvement in the international mobility of Moroccan citizens, particularly towards Africa, Asia and certain regions of Latin America. The index, which is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), examines a total of 199 passports and their access to 227 destinations around the world.
At the African continental level, Morocco is now ranked seventh. It outperforms countries like Kenya, Ghana and Tanzania, but remains behind the Seychelles (24th worldwide), Mauritius (27th) and South Africa (48th). Among the notable destinations accessible without a visa or with simplified formalities, we find Türkiye, Brazil, Senegal, Malaysia and Qatar, among others.
At the international level, Singapore retains the top spot in the ranking with access to 192 destinations, followed by Japan and South Korea. Conversely, Afghanistan closes the ranking with only 24 accessible destinations. Although the Moroccan passport is not yet among the most powerful in the world, this new report confirms a positive and constant trend in facilitating travel for national travelers.
