Moroccan Officials Abandon Posts for Illegal US Immigration, Sparking Controversy

Election serves as a springboard for immigration for many PJD (Party of Justice and Development) executives. Once elected, they prepare their immigration file in the strictest secrecy, and end up leaving their constituency in complete discretion.

This is the case of Rachid Brima, vice-president of the Ben M’sik municipal district, and, moreover, regional secretary of the PJD youth, in the Casablanca-Settat region. He will not be the only one. Yacine Tayeî, another member of the PJD youth, has also immigrated to Canada. The latter held the position of PJD provincial secretary in the prefecture of Ben M’sik. Just like Rachid Brima, he prepared his immigration in complete secrecy.
