Moroccan Official Suspended After Video Shows Alleged Assault on Elderly Aid Seeker

The Ministry of the Interior has suspended an auxiliary authority working in Médiouna. He is accused of having assaulted an elderly man.
The decision was made following the publication, by some online news sites, of articles illustrated with photos and accompanied by a video sequence, containing "serious accusations against the auxiliary authority". He is accused in the video sequence of having "assaulted an elderly man who was asking for food aid," reports the MAP.
The Ministry of the Interior, after suspending the person concerned, also decided to open a thorough investigation to determine what really happened.
