Moroccan Official Suspended After Alleged Assault Caught on Recording

The caïd of the commune of Ourtzagh in the province of Taounate, has been suspended from his duties. He is accused of having assaulted an individual.
"Digital content circulating since Saturday on social networks and instant messaging applications contains the recording of a conversation between the caïd of the commune of Outzagh and an individual, accompanied by accusations of acts of violence by the authority agent on this individual," specifies the Ministry of the Interior in a press release.
The provincial authorities of Taounate have opened an investigation, and the authority agent in question has been suspended from his duties. He will be brought before the disciplinary council at the central services of the Ministry of the Interior. The issue will be to rule on the professional shortcomings and excesses attributed to him and to take the appropriate disciplinary and administrative measures.
