Moroccan Official Suspended for Alleged Sexual Coercion of Student Seeking Travel Permit

A Pacha stationed in Kenitra forced a young student to have sexual relations in order to obtain the derogatory travel certificate.
According to the daily Assabah, the incident aroused the indignation of the officials and the governor of the province of Kenitra. The latter therefore decided to suspend the pacha from his duties.
The senior official also instructed the secretary general of the prefecture to receive the student, in order to provide her with all the necessary support, the newspaper continues.
Pending disciplinary sanctions against the municipal official, who is being prosecuted for abuse of power and sexual harassment, another administrative cadre has also been arrested in the same case, the same source points out.
