Moroccan Official Arrested for Shoplifting Women’s Underwear at Supermarket
The police elements arrested a vice-president of the commune of Ain Harrouda in Mohammedia as he was leaving a shopping center. He is accused of having stolen women’s underwear.
The facts took place in a shopping center in Mohammedia. The elected official recounts that when he was about to leave the supermarket, a security guard stopped him to check his purchases and his cash register ticket, reports Hespress. He discovers unpaid women’s underwear hidden in a pocket of his cart.
The guard alerts the police elements who went to the scene. The vice-president of the commune of Ain Harrouda in Mohammedia will be arrested and then taken to the police station. After the usual procedures, he is prosecuted on provisional release. His appearance before the court of first instance of Mohammedia should take place tomorrow, Wednesday, June 30.
The elected official claims not to have stolen anything. He says "he was trapped" by a customer inside the shopping center with whom he had previously discussed issues related to the commune of Ain Harrouda. "I fell into a trap that was set for me because of my great trust and great spontaneity, but I do not regret it...", he writes in a post on his Facebook page, thus alluding to electoral intrigues. Viewing the surveillance cameras of the shopping center will make it possible to know what really happened.
