Moroccan Mother Arrested for Child Torture as Video Sparks National Outrage

Moroccans discovered with indignation the video of a little girl tortured by her mother in Larache. The horrible video was widely shared on social media last Wednesday and could not escape the security forces.

But the facts date back about six months, according to the investigation conducted by the Tétouan police. The case had already been dealt with by the Larache police, who had already arrested the mother. Faced with the outcry caused by the new release of the video, the Tétouan Prosecutor’s Office decided to open an investigation to determine all the circumstances surrounding this case and to bring the mother to justice, the same source said.
