Moroccan Mother Arrested for Abandoning Son at Spanish Airport in Visa Scheme

The Spanish police arrested a Moroccan woman for abandoning her minor son in Zaragoza. She is accused of trying to flee to Morocco by leaving her son at the airport.
The young boy himself went to the Zaragoza police station to ask for help. The police explain that this situation, in which foreign women abandon their children after obtaining a tourist visa so that they are taken care of by the authorities, is very common, especially in southern Spain.

Arrested and placed in custody, she is being prosecuted for the crime of abandoning a minor.
