Man Claiming to be ’Imam Al Mahdi’ Disrupts Prayer at Moroccan Mosque

An individual caused trouble on Friday afternoon in a mosque in the Nakhla area of Kelâa des Sraghna. The man indeed proclaimed himself to be the "Imam Al Mahdi", causing consternation among the faithful present.
According to witnesses, the individual, who is said to be suffering from mental disorders, climbed onto the minbar of the mosque and urged the faithful to fear God and prepare for the end of humanity. He also claimed to be a messenger who had come to announce the good news and establish justice on earth.
Faced with his incoherent remarks and disruptive behavior, the faithful quickly overpowered and expelled him from the mosque.
In Kelâa des Sraghna, the increase in the number of homeless people and the mentally ill wandering in the streets and public spaces is worrying, particularly due to the disturbances caused and the potential dangers to the safety of citizens and property.
