The deception did not last. A man in his thirties was arrested last Friday in Agadir as he was posing as a beggar woman in front of a mosque in the city.
The individual, dressed as a woman, took advantage of the end of the prayer to solicit alms from the faithful. But his physical appearance, in particular his build and his voice, eventually betrayed his true identity.
Worshippers at the Abou Bakr As-Siddiq mosque, located in the Al Qods district, noticed the subterfuge and alerted the authorities. The man was arrested and placed in custody for the purposes of the investigation.
