Casablanca Taxi Driver Arrested for Serial Robberies of Passengers

A Casablanca taxi driver, around fifty years old, was arrested on Wednesday by the police services of the Hay Hassani district. Suspected of multiple thefts, the man took advantage of his professional activity to strip his clients.
The quinquagenarian attracted his victims to isolated places, claiming a breakdown of his vehicle. He then used their belongings, such as their phones or any other object, to simulate an imaginary failure affecting the taxi, before fleeing. Abandoned, the victims found themselves destitute in the face of this well-rehearsed stratagem.
The driver’s arrest follows a series of complaints filed with the local authorities. The law enforcement agencies then intensified their investigations, finally leading to the arrest of the suspect in a neighborhood of Casablanca.
Taken into custody, the man was confronted with the accusations. He should be presented to justice this Friday.
