Moroccan Military Refutes Claims of Agreement with Polisario Front

The day after the Report of the UN Secretary-General on the Moroccan Sahara, several media outlets have mentioned a certain agreement between the command of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and the Polisario with a view to a "so-called bilateral military working and coordination mechanism". According to the FAR, such an approach has never been considered, which, moreover, is unlikely.
It is, for the FAR, an "erroneous interpretation by certain media of the Report of the UN Secretary-General on the Moroccan Sahara".
In plain language, the alleged agreement between the command of the Royal Armed Forces and the Polisario on a certain bilateral military mechanism would therefore have germinated from the pure imagination of these newspapers, for purposes that they alone can apprehend.
For the FAR, there has never been any attempt at dialogue with the Polisario. Better, "the FAR will never undertake it with the Polisario," they clarify, in a press release relayed by the MAP.
However, the same source stressed that the FAR, on the other hand, work closely with MINURSO to "ensure respect for Military Agreement No. 1 and the ceasefire agreements and better prevent them".
Here, in particular, the FAR also wanted to specify that the terms of this mechanism are clearly expressed in paragraphs 26 and 27 of the UN Secretary-General’s Report.
