Morocco and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Military Ties in High-Level Rabat Meeting

Military cooperation was at the center of a meeting last Tuesday in Rabat between senior Moroccan and Saudi officers.
Initially, the work of this meeting focused on the assessment of military cooperation between the armed forces of the two kingdoms for the years 2018 and 2019 and the planning of cooperation activities for the year 2020, a statement from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces said.
While expressing their satisfaction with the positive outcome of this bilateral military cooperation, the participants expressed the desire to consolidate the relations between the two armies through the sharing of experience and expertise.
The Moroccan-Saudi military cooperation is governed by a framework agreement on military and technical cooperation signed in December 2015. This agreement covers training, the defense industry, logistical support, the transfer of military expertise, military medical services and the exchange of visits, the statement said.
