Morocco and Jordan Sign Military Cooperation Agreement, Boosting Defense Ties

The government council approved, on Thursday, February 13, 2020, a military and technical cooperation agreement between Morocco and Jordan, signed on Saturday, July 20, 2019.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, had concluded this agreement with his Jordanian counterpart, Aymen al-Safdi, during an official visit to Amman last year.
According to the Moroccan Foreign Minister, this agreement defines the legal framework for military cooperation between the two countries. It guarantees the confidentiality of information shared between the two parties and prohibits the disclosure of data to third parties, such as governments or institutions and individuals.
In the same dynamic, the government council also approved, last Thursday, a draft law on cybersecurity, which will allow the drafting of laws likely to protect the digital economy.
