Moroccan Military and Security Officials Deploy to Dakhla Amid Polisario Tensions

A Moroccan delegation, composed of senior officials from the Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Gendarmerie and the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), arrived on Sunday evening in Dakhla.
Several senior officers made the trip, including a Major Colonel from the Directorate of Studies and Documentation, a Brigadier General, a Major Colonel from the Gendarmerie High Command, in addition to several DGSN officials and a representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A special unit of the Military Gendarmerie is also part of the trip, Achkayn reports, specifying that this deployment of forces follows the movements of the Polisario Front near the border area of Guerguerat.
On the other hand, and following the royal speech, the Polisario announced the partial reopening of the crossing from next Monday. The measure would have been taken to allow Mauritanians, coming from Morocco, to return to their country.
