Moroccan Migrant Enters Spanish Enclave of Melilla Using Paraglider, Evading Border Fence

A Moroccan migrant managed to cross the six-meter high fence with barbed wire at the Melilla border by paraglider on Friday.
The migrant jumped the fence by paraglider at the area near the Mariguari border post, which has been closed since March 2020 due to the Covid-19 health crisis, sources from the Melilla government delegation told EFE, specifying that the individual managed to flee through the mouth of the river, despite the rapid reaction of the Civil Guard patrols to try to intercept him.
This is the second time a migrant has managed to illegally enter Melilla by paraglider. The first migrant used the same method on December 1st, near the Nano river, and had also escaped the Civil Guards.
