Moroccan Midfielder Youssef Ait Bennasser Set to Join Bordeaux Despite Mixed Season

Saturday 20 July 2019, by Bladi.net

The mixed performances of Moroccan international Youssef Ait Bennasser, on loan to Saint Etienne, in no way tarnish the decision of the Girondins de Bordeaux to acquire his services. The former AS Monaco member should soon join the boards of the Bordelais, one of the oldest clubs in French football.

At Monaco, the contract of the Moroccan midfielder runs until 2021. Although tempted by the adventure with the Stéphanois with whom he has also spent a full season, the doors of the Girondins are about to open for the Moroccan international whose national team had a short adventure at the CAN. This elimination moreover caused him a malaise, to the point that he violently attacked his many fans, on social networks, before returning to apologize.

At 23, the former Nancy member has already known 4 clubs. Youssef Ait Bennasser is now ready to move on to another stage and "gain experience" in a club worthy of the name, with the exception of Monaco. His club, which does not want him in its squad either, because of his unfruitful season, prefers to loan him out again, if no interesting offer is made to him for his transfer.

On the Bordeaux side, things are taking shape, even if another Atlas Lion, Sofiane Boufal, the best dribbler in La Liga, is also in their sights. The latter also has other offers, from OGC Nice and Olympique de Marseille.
