Monaco Set to Offload Moroccan Midfielder Youssef Aït Bennasser Amid Squad Overhaul

Moroccan international Youssef Aït Bennasser is on his way out of Monaco. His mixed performances with the Rock club do not reassure the officials, who plan to do without his services soon.
After 18 starts, the Moroccan defensive midfielder has never been able to convince the officials of the Principality football team. At the end of this season, he is being given a release to prove himself elsewhere, reports africatopsports.com.
The same source, however, recalls that the Moroccan is not the only one facing this problem. Monaco has indeed decided to do a major overhaul. "After a lot of work, with 19 departures, including 10 on loan, we still need to reduce the group by about ten elements. We will find solutions for Pelé, Aït Bennasser, Cardona or Diop, for example," clarified Oleg Petrov, in an interview with L’Équipe.
On his way out of Monaco, Youssef, whose contract runs until 2021, is nevertheless on the radar of big clubs, including the Girondins de Bordeaux. Loaned successively to Nancy, Caen and Saint-Etienne, the 23-year-old player could move to Bordeaux...
