Moroccan Midfielder Aït Bennasser Joins Bordeaux on Loan, Awaits Injury Recovery

The Moroccan international, Youssef Aït Bennasser, was officially presented on Monday, September 23, to the Girondins de Bordeaux, with whom he is committing to a one-season loan. Injured in the foot since his stint with the national team, the Atlas Lion is awaiting his recovery before taking the Bordeaux pitch.
Proud to wear the Bordeaux jersey, the Moroccan player, Youssef Aït Bennasser, expressed it during his presentation to the press. The 23-year-old midfielder, who is about to wear the number 17 jersey, did not skimp on praise for his new club.
"Bordeaux is a big club with a European history, it’s an additional motivation. Bordeaux’s project really interested me. It was a project under construction for the future. It was the coach’s speech that made me come, as well as the sporting director’s, which I really liked," said the Franco-Moroccan footballer.
Returning to his injury, he indicated that he is in top shape even though his physical recovery was a painful ordeal at first. "I can’t wait to start. The most important thing for me is to chain the matches and bring back as many wins as possible. As for me, we’ll see only later," he said.
Youssef Aït Bennasser did not fail to express his desire to start this new adventure in Bordeaux: "I had other opportunities in the meantime but my priority was Bordeaux so I’m happy to have arrived here. Since it took time, we get impatient, but I was patient, I took my time, I thought about it. I had a lot of contact with the coach, who told me that it was going to happen. So I remained serene and waited for it to happen," added the Franco-Moroccan.
On loan to Bordeaux, thanks to Monaco, the midfielder may stay longer than expected due to the clauses in his contract. It stipulates that there is a mandatory purchase obligation of 4 million euros for the player after fifteen starts in his contract. For now, the Franco-Moroccan remains a priority for Eduardo Macia, the Football Director of the Girondins.
