The PJD president of the rural commune of Freija, Abdelhamid Kayouh, has just been sentenced to 6 months in prison and a fine of 2,000 dirhams and 1 symbolic dirham in favor of the governor.
It all started with the dissemination of an audio of defamatory remarks on a WhatsApp group. These remarks provoked the reaction of the governor, who brought the case to justice.
Offended, the victim filed a complaint against the accused for contempt, insults and slander against her.
Following the dissemination of the audio, the defendant fled to Agadir. Thanks to an arrest warrant issued against him, he was arrested in the same city by the police.
