Moroccan Man Sentenced to 7 Years for Sexual Abuse of Underage Nieces in Spain

The Provincial Court of Albacete has sentenced the Moroccan, M.A, to five years in prison with probation for three crimes of premeditated sexual abuse on minors under 16 years of age, and to 2 years and 4 months for a crime of repeated sexual abuse.
The defendant is prohibited from approaching the three victims within 300 meters for 10 years and must pay them 5,000 euros each in damages. He is also prohibited from carrying weapons for 4 years and from engaging in any profession involving contact with minors for 9 years.
The facts. In 2016, the Moroccan physically assaulted his three minor nieces with whom he lives, hitting them with a belt, a television cable or his hand. He also took advantage of the mother’s absence to molest them. One of them, on the advice of a friend, finally filed a complaint with the Civil Guard.
The minors, victims of assault and abuse, suffer from psychological disorders. As for the mother of the minors, she was acquitted, as it was not proven that she was aware of the abuse committed by her brother. The defense of the accused has appealed this decision.
