Moroccan Man Presumed Dead for 10 Years Reappears, Sparking Investigation
The dissemination of a video on social networks showing an individual who recounts the story of his brother Benaissa Q. who died and was buried in 2007 in the commune of Rmilat near Sidi Kacem but living ten years later has led to the opening of a judicial investigation.
This case dates back to 2007. The events had taken place on a farm in Sidi Belhaj near Souk Larbaa where the man who reappeared ten years later was working. The son of the farm owner had murdered an individual, reports Le360. He was one of the witnesses to this murder.
On the instructions of the Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of Kénitra, the body of the victim was exhumed. Analyzes were carried out to determine the identity of the person buried.
During the preliminary hearing, Benaissa Q. made disturbing revelations about his disappearance, his kidnapping and the murder committed on the said farm. Benaissa said that the suspect (the son of the farm owner) had fatally struck the victim with an iron bar. With the help of another person, he had moved the body out of the farm before throwing it into an irrigation canal nearby.
Benaissa will explain that in the meantime the main suspect detained in the Ouatita 2 prison had taken his clothes and had them worn on the body of the victim. Then the killer had taken him to an unknown location. He handed him over to another individual who had sequestered him in a stable with the sheep and cows.
