Moroccan Man Found Hidden in Spare Tire Well Attempting to Enter Spain Illegally

Another case of illegal immigration. The Civil Guard found in Melilla a young man of Moroccan origin who had hidden in the hollow of the spare tire of a vehicle that was to board a ship bound for Malaga.
This arrest took place during the 2019 "Paso del estrecho" (OPE) Operation, reports the Spanish website Cope.es. Indeed, around 11:45 p.m., the control agents identified the driver of a "Renault Mégane" vehicle with Spanish black license plates, occupied by two other passengers.
Their attention focused on the large amount of personal effects transported by the occupants of the vehicle, including "various bags of flour" and considerable luggage.
It was then that a search led to the discovery, in the rear trunk, under a pile of effects, in the hollow of the spare tire, of a man in a "fetal position and completely motionless".
Immediately, the agents had to get him out of the cabin. Since he showed symptoms of numbness and joint pain, he was taken care of by the emergency services.
Given that the ship’s night crossing is about eight hours, the physical integrity of this person constituted a "serious risk" due to the lack of air, the limited space in which he had introduced himself and the lack of safety.
26 years old, the man would have family ties with the driver, a 34-year-old Moroccan national, residing in Spain. He will soon appear before the judge.
As for his two other companions, they were summoned as witnesses before the court.
