Moroccan Man Drowns in Prohibited Lake Near Avignon, France

A 25-year-old Moroccan man drowned on Saturday, June 26 in the lake of Le Pontet, after trying to cool off. Divers recovered his body several meters deep.
A moment of pleasure that turns into tragedy. Wanting to cool off, the young Moroccan in an irregular situation decided to swim in a particularly deep body of water prohibited to the public in Le Pontet, last Saturday, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré. He was with his friend. The 25-year-old man cannot swim, however. His friend can’t either.
Seeing the danger, the latter constantly called for help before being barely heard. He doesn’t speak French. Another bather comes to the rescue of the young Moroccan. A team of divers too. They managed to recover his body several meters deep. The resuscitation attempts proved unsuccessful. He will be declared dead by a doctor on site.
