Moroccan Man Dies After Long Wait for Food Aid at Municipal Office

A man in his forties died last Sunday at the headquarters of the municipality of El Attaouia, in the province of Kelaâ Sraghna, after waiting all day to receive his food basket.
According to a statement from the Moroccan Association for Human Rights, the deceased, El Attar El Hussein, had gone to the municipality to claim his food basket, which he had been waiting to receive since the beginning of the campaign.
However, he suffered a heart attack after spending the day waiting for his food allocation, without anyone paying attention to him, the AMDH statement, relayed by Alyaoum24, specifies.
The association deplored the exclusion of rural areas from state initiatives, calling on the authorities to protect the underprivileged populations of these remote areas from the manipulations and exploitation of certain officials.
