Moroccan Man Arrested for Violent Sexual Assault in Barcelona’s Las Ramblas Area

A 37-year-old woman was the victim of a violent rape perpetrated by a man of Moroccan nationality in Barcelona, Spain. The alleged perpetrator, apparently of Moroccan origin, has been arrested.
A 37-year-old woman was found by the cleaning services of Barcelona with several signs of violence, and was rushed to the hospital. She would have had part of her ear torn off, her lip split, and several bruises. In addition, she was sexually assaulted.
The information was relayed by several Iberian media, including the Sexta channel: "The city’s cleaning services encountered on Friday morning around 7:30 a.m. an unconscious 37-year-old woman lying on the ground near Plaza Las Ramblas in Barcelona".
The arrest of the alleged perpetrator of this rape took place on Saturday. He would be 32 years old and his violent behavior would have been reported several times by his neighbors, "without him being prosecuted by justice". He would have set fire twice to a pneumatic waste collection mechanism as well as to containers in the street. He was to be brought before the judge today.
