Moroccan Man Arrested in Mallorca for Violent Bottle Attack in Bar

National police officers in Palma de Mallorca arrested a 29-year-old Moroccan, accused of an alleged offense of assault and battery. He attacked a customer in a café with a bottle, causing several head injuries.
The incident took place in a well-known bar in the Son Gotleu neighborhood. The suspect, who was apparently intoxicated, asked a customer for a cigarette, which the customer did not have. That’s when he grabbed a bottle and struck the victim on the head. He then continued to hit him with the broken bottle, causing several injuries to the back of his head, reports Ultima Hora.
The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment. As for the Moroccan, he was arrested for assault and battery. He was known to the police for having committed several offenses. Last August 1st, he was already arrested after violently assaulting another man. The victim suffered several injuries to the back, neck and back of the head.
