Moroccan Man Arrested for Imprisoning Wife in Stable for Over a Decade

A Moroccan man has been placed in pre-trial detention for torturing and imprisoning his wife inside a stable for more than 10 years. The man was reported by his sister-in-law.
The events took place in Kelaa Mgouna, a few kilometers from Ouarzazate. In her statement, the woman said that her sister has been the victim, since 2009, of degrading and inhuman treatment by her husband, who chose to take a second wife.
The victim’s health condition, who has been prohibited from visiting her parents, is very critical, notes the site Agadir24, due to the torture and cruel treatment she has endured for more than 10 years. The woman was admitted to the psychiatric hospital in Ouarzazate.
For now, continues the same source, the individual has been placed in pre-trial detention, pending his appearance before the court to answer for his crimes.
