Moroccan Man Arrested for Grandfather’s Murder in Failed Robbery Attempt

A young man suspected of murdering his maternal grandfather was arrested by the royal gendarmerie in Taliouine. He was planning to steal the money he thought the latter had saved.
According to the daily Assabah, the young man was apprehended twelve hours after the murder, thanks to the effective collaboration between the gendarmerie services and the local authorities.
The suspect is said to have killed his grandfather with a knife blow. He was rummaging through the latter’s belongings in search of his savings. But he surprised him and opposed it, leading to the knife blows received. After his crime, he set out to search the house without managing to get his hands on the money he was looking for.
An investigation has been opened to determine the responsibilities of the grandson in this cold-blooded crime. If the responsibility of the accused were to be established, he risks a long prison sentence.
