Moroccan Man Arrested for Fatal Scissor Attack on Woman in Rabat Cafe

The Prefectural Service of the Judicial Police of Rabat proceeded to arrest a person on Thursday, July 18, 2019. This is following information provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), according to which the person concerned is accused of having murdered a woman. A press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) provides all the details of the case.
The man in question is 55 years old. On the evening of Wednesday, July 17, in a cafe in Rabat, in the El Youssoufia district, an altercation opposed him to a woman with whom he was in conversation about an old financial transaction. Thus, according to the same press release, relayed by the MAP, this dispute led the fifty-year-old to seize a pair of scissors and stab the woman, resulting in her instant death.
The criminal, who already had numerous criminal records, was therefore arrested on the morning of Thursday, July 18, 2019, and was placed in custody, at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, to clarify all aspects of this crime.
