Moroccan Legend Criticizes Mahrez’s Form, Fitness After Saudi Move

Mustapha Hadji, former Moroccan international and assistant to Franco-Bosnian coach Vahid Halilodzic, says all the harm he thinks of the Algerian right winger of the Saudi club Al-Ahli FC, Riyad Mahrez, who no longer makes the football lovers dream.
Riyad Mahrez is in poor form and is facing criticism from Moroccan legend Mustapha Hadji. "Mahrez lacks enthusiasm mentally when he plays, he doesn’t look for the ball. He is not as active as he should be on the right side, and when he loses the ball, he doesn’t make the effort to recover it [...] I think Mahrez is not at his best. He is suffering from a major physical problem due to a weight gain of 4 to 5 kilograms since his transfer to Saudi Arabia," commented the former Atlas Lion and Vahid Halilodzic’s assistant in an interview with Al-Arabiya in Saudi Arabia. He then urges the Algerian international to follow the example of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who at the age of 40 continues to deliver great performances. "Even when I saw him with the Algerian national team during the Africa Cup of Nations, he was not at his usual level. I think he should follow the example of Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays with intensity even at the age
