Moroccan Justice System Rocked by Bribery Video Exposing Sentence Reduction Scheme

Negotiation for the reduction of a detainee’s sentence in exchange for a bribe. This is happening in a video that is circulating on social media in Morocco. It shows an individual in a car negotiating the reduction of the sentence of a certain Touria, prosecuted for "criminal conspiracy".
The video shows an intermediary explaining to a certain Ouafae (in a niqab, apparently the daughter of this detainee) that the maximum he could negotiate is a 2-month prison sentence, instead of 8 months. Touria, the detainee in question, has already served 20 days in pre-trial detention.
According to Le360, to support his "offer", he contacts a person he presents as the magistrate handling the case. The latter agreed to provide the requested service in exchange for an envelope of 35,000 dirhams.
