Moroccan Islamist Party PJD Secures Parliamentary Group Status After Rule Change

The PJD will finally have a parliamentary group following an agreement between certain political parties, lowering the required number of deputies to 12.
With its 13 seats obtained after the last legislative elections, the party could not claim a parliamentary group, since 20 seats were required to form one. They, who had reigned supreme for two consecutive terms in the hemicycle.
But the Lamp party has just been saved by the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP), the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS), and the Party of Authenticity and Modernity (PAM). These political formations, through an agreement, have reduced the quota so that they say, "the lamp party is not marginalized".
