The investigation began when investigators discovered the contents of the man’s mobile phone, who led the Friday prayers, reports the newspaper Assabah. In one of these videos, he was seen having sexual relations with several people. The ongoing investigations aim to verify the allegations that he may have had sexual relations with children.

The authorities have summoned several teenagers appearing in the seized films to question them as victims. The same source claims that the imam would benefit from the full protection of the local Council of Ulema despite the multiple complaints filed against him. In addition, he also seems to be involved in cases of illegal immigration.
