Moroccan ’Hamza mon bb’ Cyberbullying Trial: Blogger and Journalist Face Court
In turn, the persons prosecuted in the Hamza mon bb case are setting a date with the justice system to respond to their involvement or not in the case. The trial of the blogger Soukaina Jannah, alias "Soukaina Glamour", is scheduled for January 23.
Like the other persons prosecuted in the case, the blogger "Soukaina Glamour" is suspected of being behind the Hamza mon bb account. During this hearing, she will be confronted with the journalist who is also accused of being involved in the management of this account, which specializes in defamation and blackmail, according to Barlamane.com.
In the same case, the Court of First Instance of Marrakech sentenced a police officer to 10 months in prison and a fine of 2,000 dirhams last Thursday. He was prosecuted for corruption, disclosure of professional secrecy, and participation in the dissemination of false allegations in order to harm the privacy of individuals and defame them.
Several people are being prosecuted in this case and are waiting to learn their fate from the justice system. These include A. B., 31 years old, suspected of being the administrator of one of these accounts, and M. D., a correspondent for a national online newspaper, suspected of being involved in this case. There is also A. S., the owner of a car rental agency, and Soukaina Glamour, a social media blogger.
They have all been placed in pre-trial detention and prosecuted for disseminating false information with the aim of infringing on the privacy of individuals or defaming them.
