Moroccan Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou Voted Top African Player in La Liga

Moroccan international Yassine Bounou who plays as a goalkeeper for FC Seville, has been named the best African player in the Spanish championship for the first half of the season.
The choice to award Yassine Bounou, the goalkeeper of FC Seville and the Moroccan national football team, was made by the fans of La Liga. They were invited to designate the winner of this new trophy on social networks.
On the podium, alongside Bounou, we find the Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze and the Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri. In 20 matches played this season in La Liga, the Moroccan goalkeeper has only let in 13 goals in 1800 minutes.
"I really want to thank you for this award. For me, it is a great pride to represent African football in La Liga and I hope that we can continue to have success in order to open the door to other talents in the future who will also be able to shine in La Liga," said Bounou after his coronation.
