Moroccan Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou Named La Liga’s Best for First Half of Season

Moroccan international Yassine Bounou, playing for FC Seville, has been named best goalkeeper in the Spanish football championship, for the first half of the season.
This recognition is a reward for merit according to the figures provided by La Liga, the body that manages professional football in Spain.
According to the statistics, Bounou has the best ratio of goals conceded per minute in the championship. The Moroccan goalkeeper has conceded a total of 13 goals in 18 matches, or one goal every 144 minutes. He outperforms the Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper, Unai Simon, who received 1 goal/123 minutes, the Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois (1 goal/123 min) and the Betis Seville goalkeeper, Rui Silva (1 goal/99 min).
Thanks to this performance, Bounou, an undisputed starter in his position, has allowed FC Seville to consolidate second place in the La Liga standings, behind Real Madrid.
