Moroccan Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou Leads La Liga with Lowest Goals Conceded

If FC Seville is second in La Liga today, it is largely thanks to Yassine Bounou who has conceded the fewest goals in the league. The Moroccan goalkeeper is at the top of the Zamora trophy ranking with an average of 0.55 goals conceded per game (11 in 20 games), ahead of Athletico’s goalkeeper Unai Simón with an average of 0.76 goals (16 in 21 games) and the Madrid player Courtois with an average of 0.8 goals (20 in 25 games).

Bounou is on the verge of winning this trophy that no FC Seville goalkeeper has managed to win and that he missed last season, reports Diario de Sevilla. The Moroccan has 10 clean sheets (the last against Elche) in 20 games and has not conceded a single goal in 35 official matches played with Seville in 2021. And this performance continues in 2022 for a total of 63 matches with the Spanish club.

In Europe, Bounou is no less brilliant.
