Moroccan Fuel Prices Drop Again: Diesel and Gasoline See Significant Decrease

A year-end gift for Moroccan motorists who will notice this Saturday, December 29, a new drop in fuel prices at service stations.
The announcement was made yesterday by the Delegate Minister in charge of General Affairs, Lahcen Daoudi, reports the website Telquel. We are talking about a drop of 26 cents for the price of diesel and 19 cents for that of gasoline.
"Distribution companies must introduce a new reduction in hydrocarbon prices at the pump," said the minister, adding that "the price of diesel should decrease by 26 cents, while that of gasoline should drop by 19 cents from Saturday, December 29."
Two weeks ago, pump prices had already seen a sharp drop with around thirty cents for gasoline and 49 cents for diesel. This general drop is due to the sharp "decline in world oil prices" with a barrel at 40 euros today compared to $85 on October 3 last.
