Moroccan fuel prices drop 60 cents petrol diesel savings
Moroccan motorists are benefiting from a new fuel price reduction since this morning. The price of petrol will drop by 60 cents per litre, while diesel will decrease by 40 cents.
Specifically, the litre of petrol, which has been hovering around 14.90 dirhams, will fall to around 14.30 dirhams depending on the service stations and regions. For its part, diesel will drop from 13.97 dirhams to approximately 13.57 dirhams per litre. This price relief is particularly anticipated by households, as well as by transport companies and logistics firms, whose production and mobility costs depend heavily on these fluctuations.

This revision extends the easing trend observed in recent weeks on the national market, following a succession of upward and downward fluctuations since the beginning of the year. Motorists had notably benefited from a previous adjustment on June 1st. On that date, petroleum distributors had applied a 53-cent reduction on diesel per litre, while the price of petrol remained unchanged.

This readjustment is explained by the decline in international crude oil prices. Industry professionals nevertheless remind that future changes at the pump will remain strictly correlated with fluctuations in global energy markets.
