Moroccan Football Federation Sanctions Club Presidents for Match-Fixing Scandal

After a recent scandal linked to a fixed match in Botola Pro D2, several club leaders have been sanctioned by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
This includes the president of Union Sportive d’Oujda Abdellah Karim Kazouz and Abderrazak El Manfalouti, president of Tihad Athlétic Sportif.
The Ethics Commission of the Federation examined the complaint filed after the match that opposed, last May, Club Jeunesse Ben Guerir FC to Union Sportive Musulmane d’Oujda (1-2) as part of the 29th day of the championship. This match would have been fixed, according to the president of Tihad Athlétic Sportif (TAS), thus causing the relegation of his club to the third division.
On Friday, the federation decided after hearing all parties, to suspend the president of Union Sportive d’Oujda Abdellah Karim Kazouz from any football-related activity for 5 years, with a fine of 150,000 dirhams. Abderrazak El Manfalouti, president of TAS, was also suspended from any football-related activity for one year and fined 20,000 dirhams.
In addition, Sellami Laadimi, treasurer of Jeunesse de Ben Guerir, was also suspended from any football-related activity for 5 years and fined 150,000 dirhams by the FRMF.
