Moroccan Football Chief Lekjaâ Promoted to CAF 2nd Vice-President

The President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Faouzi Lekjaâ, has been appointed 2nd Vice-President of the African body. This decision was made at the end of the General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Good news for Morocco. The rumors of a one-year sanction against Faouzi Lekjaâ, following his altercation with a referee during the Champions League final, have in no way tarnished the image of the President of the FRMF.
He is rather promoted. Faouzi Lekjaâ, who held the position of 3rd Vice-President of CAF, has been appointed 2nd Vice-President of the African body.
Other changes have also taken place within the Confederation. The President of CAF, Ahmad Ahmad, now takes the reins of the CAN Organizing Commission.
